Simply Print Checks ("we," "us," "our") provides check-printing software and an associated account/licensing service at checks.toolguys.app (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information -- your login ID and password (stored only in hashed form, never in plain text), and any display name, email address, or notes provided when your account is set up.
• Machine identifier -- the desktop software generates a unique identifier for the computer it's installed on and sends it to us when you sign in. This ties your account to a single computer, to prevent a subscription from being shared across multiple computers or locations.
• Transaction data -- the information you enter to print a check (date, check number, recipient, amount, memo line, category) is saved on your own computer and also uploaded to our servers, so your history can be restored if your computer is lost, damaged, or replaced.
• Technical data -- like most online services, our servers automatically log basic technical information (such as IP address and request timestamps) for security and troubleshooting.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To verify your subscription is active before allowing the software to run
• To enforce the single-computer restriction described above
• To back up and restore your transaction records
• To provide customer support
• To maintain the security and reliability of the Service

3. How We Store and Protect Your Information

Passwords are never stored in plain text -- they are hashed using industry-standard methods. All communication between the desktop software and our servers, and between your browser and our website, is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your information. We may share it only:

• With service providers who help us operate the Service (for example, payment processing), under obligations to protect it
• If required to do so by law, subpoena, or other legal process
• To protect the rights, property, or safety of Simply Print Checks, our users, or others

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and transaction data for as long as your account remains active, and for a reasonable period afterward in case you wish to reactivate or need your records restored. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page with a new effective date.
